Understanding Groundwater Flow, Tóth, and Laplace’s Equation

I wrote this paper with two classmates for my differential equations class.
We based a lot of our understanding and the first half of our paper’s equations/figures on J. Tóth’s findings in his paper ‘A Theoretical Analysis of Groundwater Flow in Small Drainage Basins’. It is also important to note that our professor recommended we use an earlier version of his paper (1962) rather than his final publication in 1963.
In the second half of our paper, we present a few different scenarios where we created plots in Matlab showing how groundwater would flow around different obstacles in the ground or how it would flow into/out of a location.
